I believe that a considerable part of my understanding of the value of art lays in my primary art education. I guess I am an artist from birth (a bit of a natural :) thanks to my artistic heritage after my father. See me as the one with a classic heir to the Russian school of painting which in turn has its roots in Western Europe. I graduated from the Academy of Arts in Turkmenistan, specialised in ceramics. Besides my primary degree, I studied design at the art institute and did a year at architecture academy in Novosibirsk, Russia. Given that I come from a family of artists, education is what I chase since my birth. Sometimes it is very tiring, but training maximises artist's possibilities to realise creative ideas. Nevertheless, I was born and raised in the Central Asia region, which has always dominated decorative art forms and I was fortunate to learn the techniques of pottery and carpet weaving from early on. All the above naturally shaped and contributed significantly to help me in my work. I really hope that I have a recognisable style but seriously speaking, I cannot draw or paint in one specific style. That did upset me till I was about 25, but now I understand that it is an advantage that I have - I can do different things, and I don’t care about art gallerists and critics who might rebuke me for not having a personal style and shall, therefore, refuse to exhibit my artwork. I am drawn to emotional figurative technique with subtle signs of social-realism. My secondary direction is to experiment with materials, silicon, wood, textiles and so on. Here I try to work with abstract shapes, colours and light. As for inspiration, it is a very separate issue requiring a considerable effort to at all describe it, but if you talk about it in a nutshell, the subject of inspiration is very ambiguous and contradictory. Much in my case due to both the modern ideas in the society contrasting with examples from the history of past centuries. And no matter how cliche my words may come across, obviously love plays a significant role in my creative life, as well as its absence. All in all, I would say that inspiration is not a form and it does not exist in the way people, who are not involved in art, portray. Only daily hard work brings good results. You have to live and breathe every composition, every brushstroke and every idea and only then the work of your brain and hands can create a masterpiece. Next, to it, I have always been inspired by the simplest things if you will. Scents or news on TV. Snow or the hand of a loved one in my hair. Those standing in front of a cafe or success of one of our colleagues. The sound of music or a night in the windows of the houses opposite. The list is always endless. Hope you'll see it back in my pieces and better yet you'll even get to enjoy them.

Ruchika Malhotra is an Indian artist living in Singapore since 2010. She loves to see the world as a kaleidoscope of lights and shadows. In the busy humdrum of life, her paintings offer doors to the world of calm. Every artwork she makes is a journey where each layer brings out the play of lights and shadows. She uses the acrylic medium for vivid and highly intense subjects like her series exploring my views on what destruction we are bringing to earth and the renewal series that studies the question of hope and living. The oil medium remains her favourite, however, as it helps her to express layer by layer to bring it to life. Her, so far short journey, began with an abstract theme, inspired by SH Raza’s ‘Bindu’ which lends a sense of universality and fulfilment to his works. For Ruchika, search for symmetry in the abstract was akin to searching for a calming source within a confusing world, making her realise calm is within us, and it’s about how we connect to the same within our soul. She has found this path in the meditational objects like the prayer wheels, temple bells and singing bowls - and she is still discovering as she understands her inner self better with each of her paintings.

Honoured Artist of Ukraine. His paintingss are characterized by romanticism akin to Biedermeier with its sense of comfort, peace and security. The artist especially favours transitional seasons, such as fall and early winter. Domestic painters are invariably attracted to these seasons, both because they afford for moods typical of the national character, and because they provide artists with weather phenomena full of picturesque effects. Any signs of human presence, such as houses, churches or solitary figures, make the represented natural sites dimensionally alike to human existence. Artist’s works are fantasy ones, this being especially accentuated by original color scheme and unusual light effects; these features reflect his apparent desire to see idyllic overtones in the outside world. Golovin avoids painting true-life scenes. He would rather prefer classic compositions, and follow his inherent sense of harmony. The artist’s technique is somewhat meager; however, his works are always softened by lyrical feeling. Whilst Konstantin Golovin’s creativity is characterized by broad generalization, he brought into existence his own world of landscape images where the personal history of the artist is entwined with the eternal beauty of «indifferent» nature.
Harshada Khare is an Indian artist born and brought up in Mumbai, currently based in Hong Kong where she has been living for more than six years. From a background in Technology, Harshada has worked for some early-stage IT ventures in India & Hong Kong. Harshada has always found herself to be an art fanatic be it dancing during childhood or some rare drawing & sketching during her school days. She discovered her talent for painting after moving to Hong Kong while walking around the city after work. Hong Kong is a fascinating city, she realised it is culturally so much different from Mumbai. There is tremendous street art across the city – beautiful designs, catchy colours, designs that are whimsical at times. This was that one big shift of her life when she strongly sensed she needs to bring her lost interest back to life. She started exploring painting classes in Hong Kong and came across a young & talented artist from New York. It was expensive, but the mere thought of painting on canvas was new and strongly attractive. Harshada then trained under the professional guidance of this artist who owns one of the renowned art studios in Hong Kong. Painting under the studio lights with soft instrumental music in the background seemed a therapy. Initially, it was more of a new experience painting on canvases, then much of a stress buster amidst a busy & fast-paced city like Hong Kong, until it became a need and a passion. Harshada loves travelling & exploring new places and cities. Exploring different countries always has something new to offer that keeps touching her artistic instincts and this exploration became a source of her inspiration. Her artwork today is a collection of abstract, landscape, cityscape and mostly freestyle acrylic and oil work. Harshada does not believe in keeping one’s imagination bound to any specific style or focus. For her, it is reflecting her experiences of life through vivid colours, uneven brush strokes and, textures and patterns. Harshada thrives on expressing her feelings and experiences to the world through her canvas.
A Singapore born and raised, Siti an emerging artiste whose work showcases her vibrant personality, through the use of distinctively bright and lively colours, created by a variety of aggressive brush strokes and use of the pallet knife technique!

By entering deeper into physical visual qualities, she is focusing on the details of the structures of living biological mechanisms which disappear in our lives. "Each tiny detail of life is part of who we are. Becoming united with these small pieces makes life meaningful." By combining details of both micro and macro worlds in various media, Gonca's artwork reflects this unity, while also revealing the mysteries hidden in the details. Gonca investigates the micro and macro with a deep-level vision, rather than limiting her view to the world seen with the naked eye. By entering deeper into physical visual qualities, she can focus on the details of the structures of living biological mechanisms which disappear in our lives. Her work juxtaposes the perception of reality with an undiscovered awareness of experiences of the moment that are hidden in everyday details. It depicts visual stories of mystical worlds that elude discovery in everyday life. Informed by influences of minimalism that she experiences in Asia, her latest works re-interpret and simplify these stories. Ink, acrylic, pen, and other chemical elements are the types of media Gonça uses, synergistically, on natural textured surfaces.
Olga is a Ukrainian artist based in Singapore. Olga's path as an artist started at 4 years old in Ukraine when her mother brought her to the art school as she sensed her interest in drawing. She believes this is a foundation for any further form of expression. This background also gives her the courage to continuously experiment in various styles and to be open to modern and conceptual arts. She went through different media and uses mostly oil and watercolour today. She gains inspiration from simple objects around us, these small invisible things that happen every day, every moment. In our fast pace of life and information - Olga wants to help people take a breath from the daily rush and reflect on the remarkable events that surround us. There are no ordinary moments - something is always happening... And Olga is trying to reflect the things that she finds remarkable in her work.

From 2012 – teacher in the National Institute of Fine Arts and Design named after Kamoliddin Bekhzad. Themes of his paintings express centuries of ethnic characteristics of Kara-Kalpak peoples, limitless and boundless understanding of cosmogenic realities which were recreated with pronounced steppe colouring. Saidbek uses an original palette of colours, this obtusely gold-shining ochre, dark coral shades of red and maroon colour and sallow green colour. The artist wishes to draw attention in every possible way to the pressing global problems, for instance to desiccation of the Aral, Protection of flora and fauna, symbiosis and mutual understanding of brotherly cultures. Mysteriously funny images of his paintings reflect virgin naive peoples of Karakalpakstan which create mysterious lyric, a particular melody of the creative work of Saidbek.

Often the results are a mood or landscape of the mind- the pastoral abstract.
Originally from Jodhpur (India), Anuradha Kabra has made Singapore her home since the past decade. Her induction into art & music started at a very young age from her mother (Kamla Kabra) and father (Brijbhushan Kabra – one of the co-creators of Call Of The Valley - the highest selling album in Indian classical music till date with international acclaim), both well-known artists. Anuradha’s love of vibrancy in Van Gogh’s works & the precision of Escher’s creations led to her evolving her unique style of blending pencil with vibrant water-colours and chalk pastels on paper. Her curiosity and sincere interest in mythology and mysticism are reflected in her artworks. Her recent works explore the synthesis of culture with faiths & beliefs and the mystery of creation. She is working on her new series which explores the symbolism of mythological animals across various cultures and exploring the world of the airborne creatures – birds, which fascinate her with their spirit and freedom. She has been part of collective shows like the Affordable Art Fair in Singapore in 2017 and 2018, and amongst others in Singapore and India. She was the featured artist at the Indonesian Economic Forum in Jakarta in 2016. Her last solo show in Hyderabad, India was hosted by Kalakriti Art Gallery. In the world of contemporary representational art, she is considered one of the artists to look out for.

Volha Bazyleva was born in Belarus. Drawing has been her favourite pastime since early childhood. When it came time to enter university, Volha's choice was the Institute of Business in Minsk (Belarus). Then she moved to Germany to improve her German. Two years later, she moved to Italy, got married and began teaching art there. But Volha's real passion was in painting, and that's what she started to do. Volha has already held exhibitions in South Tyrol, North Italy, and Regensburg (Regensburg), Germany. Experts say that the work of a young artist is typically characterised by genre diversity, different techniques, e.g., landscapes, still life, animalistic work in abstract art, works of different methods (oil, acrylic, straws, pastel, graphics, etc.). Volha's speciality is portraits; indeed, her portraits of famous personalities is what she is most famous. The artist herself considers her portrait of then-Pope Benedict her favourite. Volha managed to get an audience with Georg Ratzinger, the then-Pope's brother, who liked the picture. He even declared that Volha's portrait of the Pope was the best portrait of the Pope ever done. In July 2011, Volha gave the work the right hand of Benedict prelate Wachter. He promised that the film would go on display at the Vatican. Another exciting event was the meeting with Princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis in her castle St. Emmeram at Regensburg in Germany. Princess Gloria is a representative of old German aristocracy, and her villa is a real open-air museum. Volha presented her a titled portrait. The press in Italy and Germany have carried several articles on the works of Volha Bazylevoy, with the writers noting how his works portray the Belarusian soul. The artist currently lives in Singapore. Portraits of famous personalities: 1. Luis Durnwalder is a politician of Italy, former governor of the autonomous province of South Tyrol from 1989 until 2014, and vice-president of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, in Northern Italy. 2. Gloria, Princess of Thurn and Taxis is a German businesswoman, manager, artist and member, by marriage, of the German princely House of Thurn and Taxis. 3. Pope Benedict XVI, Pope of the Catholic Church from 2005 to 2013. He was elected pope on 19 April 2005, was inaugurated on 24 April 2005 and resigned from the office on 28 February 2013.

Oleg was born in 1986 in Russia in the Primorsky Territory in the city of Vladivostok. Childhood and adolescence passed close to the nature abundant in the Far Eastern region, which played its decisive role in the formation of a subtle creative worldview, which subsequently took shape in the desire to transfer the beauty of the native land to the canvas. The nature of Primorsky Krai has preserved in itself from antiquity many species of plants and animals, which now no longer can be found anywhere. All the corners of Primorye are picturesque and beautiful. Quiet and warm rivers at one time fall down a waterfall from massive rocks, the steppes are changed by an impenetrable taiga, and the plains are mountains. There are places from which the taiga opens, and the sea surface, from the hills, you can see all sides of the world. In Primorsky Krai, people come from all over the world to spend a few days alone with nature, to relax from the hustle and bustle of cities. Also, Primorsky Krai is the only place on the planet, where the glacier did not penetrate in ancient times. Picturesque and unpredictably bewitching Primorsky Krai of Russia captures literally from the first days of his stay in his arms. There is everything that a man of art can want from nature. The nature of Primorsky Krai is unique; it is under protection. The life of Primorsky Krai has preserved in itself from antiquity many species of plants and animals, which now no longer can be found anywhere.

Imran Nur-Ali is a mystic from painting. An artist by education, one day he felt more than an artist. According to him, the same fracture occurred with him on the day of the death of Salvador Dali. He had a vision that he should become the successor of this great painter in his mission on Earth. Since that time, Imran Nur-Ali has not just gone into painting on the path of surrealism - he walked the footsteps of Salvador Dali, using his manner, which, in the context of all that Imran Nur-Ali tells, is a kind of key to some higher knowledge. However, the system of symbols of Imran Nur-Ali has its own, and the themes of its homeland - Azerbaijan are actively interwoven in it. The scenes of his paintings Imran Nur-Ali sees, in his words, in a dream - after that he can only transfer to the canvas what he saw. His exhibition Imran Nur-Ali devoted three works of Salvador Dali - "Geopolitical child watches the birth of a new man" (1943), "Meninas" (1960) and "Battle of Tetuan" (1962). The Azerbaijani artist claims that in the first of these paintings a prophecy concerning himself was given. From an egg depicted in the form of an earthly planet, a middle-aged man appears, and a woman in the picture points to the birthplace of this person - this is Azerbaijan. "A certain mission was assigned to Salvador Dali, and I am the continuer of this program. There will be only four artists with such a mission, "Imran Nur-Ali shares his revelation. He says that the coming to the world of four artists is predicted by each of them about the next. Thus, Dali predicted the arrival of Imran Nur-Ali in the world, and Imran Nur-Ali in his work "The Birth of a New Man" gives the viewer information about the third artist, who, he said, will be born in Brazil. "Through my paintings, the Brazilian artist will prove that he is the third artist," explains Imran Nur-Ali. "And he, in turn, will leave pictures for the fourth artist, who will be born in Nepal."
1981 - Francisco Tejada Nacion Jr.was born in Kalibo, Aklan. Despite majoring in Computer Engineering at the University of Baguio, he nonetheless pursued art studies while in college. 2006 - he started to apprentice with Mr Fernando Sena. 2007 - he joined the Saturday Group of Artist, which includes Mauro Malang Santos, whom he much admires. The themes of his works show his love and pride for his country and its culture. When you look closely at the characters in his paintings; you will see a bright side and a dark side of the faces. These signify both the positive and negative outlook of a person. Upon more profound contemplation the principal attraction is the light or bright side. It reflects the excellent Filipino traits of patience, kindness and being loving. Whenever the sun and the moon are represented, the sun is gold, and the planet is silver. These large celestial bodies symbolise TIME…time is valuable and should not be wasted. Francis believes that time must be used to do positive actions to make one’s dreams come true. “With the good traits of a Filipino with hard work and good use of time, We Filipinos can look forward to a brighter and happier life. I want to show the world that the Filipino artist can be at par with the best in the world” he says. To this day, this young artist continues to develop his unique style, characterised by etching and scraping to produce special textural effects. The artist prepares well for his works, carefully researching Filipino art designs which he incorporates in his paintings. An example of this is the colourful materials woven by ethnic groups in Zamboanga, which he has represented in his paintings, showing strong visual appeal because of its brilliant hues. He continues to research ethnic art from different regions in the country, focusing on the happy mix of vivid colours. He inspired by the rich culture of the Philippines and paints traditional subjects like mother and child, father and son, market vendors, Lovers, Christmas carollers- picturing familiar sights in the Philippines folklife. With a positive outlook on life, he makes sure these viewpoints is infused in his works. The information is drawn from galeriestephanie.com.

Schematic heroes, absolute freedom of fantasy, deep emotionality are characteristic features of the artist's work. Some of the early paintings are close to expressionism, and some are exclusively abstract. In some artworks from the 70's to the present day, the artist develops a musical theme - from the moment he was impressed by the experiments of Picasso with the violin. With the passage of time, Shestakov's works on this subject became more abstract and expressive, and the instruments and practices of musicians varied. The last masterpieces of the artist are sound themes of free flight and self-realisation, the search for the way by humankind.
